JOB TITLE: Applications Manager
JOB LOCATION: Lagos
JOB DETAILS:
- Responsible for supporting the technical / functional development of SAP HANA in addition to end user support in collaboration with SMEs in each function and external consultants where necessary.
- Also, responsible for managing software applications, systems upgrades and associated network and hardware installations.

Service Management:
- Drive internal and third-party service review meetings covering performance, service improvements, quality, and processes.
- Maintaining end-to-end accountability for customer satisfaction
- Delivering customer satisfaction and overall excellence by identifying opportunities (or issues) and provide on-time resolution.
- Stakeholders’ management to define business requirements and systems goals and identify and resolve business systems issues.
- Provides support, assistance, and training to users.
- Ensures compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
- Reviews and analyses the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Technical Perception:
- Creates systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to application developers.
- Oversee use of Solution Manager for change management and ensuring alignment of technical changes with business requirements
- Coordinates and performs in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems(interfaces)
- Conducts research on software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
- Work with the Infrastructure Manager and vendors to provide adequate security for software in cloud and desktop environment.
- Provides support for difficult and complex system environments.
Performance & Quality:
- Responsible for enhancement in systems (SAP HANA or any other business system).
- Customizing the respective business area and making sure the system reacts in the manner according to the constraints of the requested user case.
- Provides support for difficult and complex system environments.
- Take responsibility for project budgets and ensure meeting targets on scope, quality, and costs
- Provide subject matter experience (S/4HANA) and implementation skills for S/4HANA solutions.
- Responsible for all tests and approvals required in test environment before any implementation in production environment.

- Exercise sound judgment and make clear decisions on project issues, managing customer relationships, delivering value, providing leadership and guidance to direct reports, and partnering with peer team members
- Synthesize and communicate project and business issues on an on-going basis, manage the group’s awareness of changes, modifications, updates, or any task that will be of business value to users.
Analytical & Decision-Making Responsibilities:
- Must be able to work within a matrix organization – balancing the needs of the customer against business initiatives and goals
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key customers at all levels to understand their business drivers and propose and deliver appropriate technical solutions
- Must be able to identify appropriate product/service offerings to meet the customers’ needs
- Must make decisions, such as prioritize relationships to develop, negotiate with customers and overcome obstacles
- Effective team Management to deliver projects in alignment with customer needs with transparency to IT Services and customer stakeholders.
- Identify, manage, and resolve complex issues, preventing escalations, where possible
- Manage, negotiate, and resolve incidents or requests effectively.
- Create an open, honest, accountable, and collaborative team environment.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Management, or any other IT related discipline, and must have completed the NYSC program
- Minimum of 8 years experience in ERP Administration (SAP) and other business applications like CRM, Sales Automation and so on.
- Extensive technical and functional knowledge & experience on SAP Modules and services; in-depth knowledge on S/4 HANA
- Application Support Management, Project Management & Change management experience
- Excellent customer service, team player and has a CAN-DO attitude
- Basic network administration and database administration skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation skills and able to communicate well at all levels both within and outside UFL.
- Organisational and problem- solving skills.
