- The Chief Digital Officer’s overall responsibility is to drive growth and strategic renewal by transforming the organization and her clients’ traditional analog business into digital ones.
- They put a special focus on creating new value through the smart use of digital tools, platforms, technologies, services, and processes.
- A CDO ensures that a company’s online presence is providing a positive consumer experience across all channels to increase lead generation, sales and revenue.
Responsibilities
- Drive digital innovation and serve as a cross-functional change agent across the organization
- Develop clearly-defined and compelling digital strategy for the company and her clients
- Ensure that all relevant digital initiatives are fully integrated into the strategic-planning process for leadership commitment, resource allocation and execution
- Work with teams across businesses to generate innovative digital solutions for products, services, processes, customer experiences, marketing channels, and business models
- Build, manage and continue to grow an internal and external digital innovation ecosystem
- Identify new tools e.g. AI, Martech – that can enhance and improve our solutions to our clients
- Work with HR to attract and retain top talent, and build digital capabilities across the company
- Set and implement digital strategy for the organization and our clients by working with cross- functional partners to map and transition traditional processes to digital ones
- Ensure collaboration, knowledge sharing, and digital best practices between partners and colleagues to help embed a robust digital ecosystem
- Measure ROI on digital projects, fine-tuning approaches as needed to ensure the Company and her clients are investing in the right tools and resources for organization and clients.
- Measure ROI and KPIs
- Prepare and manage digital transformation and digital marketing budgets
- Anticipate sales performance trends
- Organize, lead and train digital marketing team
- Research competition, investigate benchmarks and provide suggestions for improvement
- Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
- Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies.
- Oversee all digital operations including digital processes, customer experiences, services & products.
Academic Qualification and Experience

- B.Sc Degree in Statistics or any quantitative, business, technology or engineering Degree
- M.Sc in Marketing, Digital Marketing or professionnal certifcation with relevant body
- 5 – 7 years experience in a similar role designing and launching digital platforms
- Proven track record of leading successful digital transformation and marketing projects
- Understanding of core business processes and associated technical solutions
- Have an innovative and disruptive mindset, constantly looking forward
- Experience managing and leading a digital team.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- 5 years of experience as a Digital Marketing Director, Digital Transformation Specialist or similar Digital Leadership role
- At least 7 years of experience in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies
- In depth knowledge of diferent digital marketing channels and technology tools like Hubspot, Sprout, SEMRush, CRM software and Agency Partnerships with Facebook, Google, Twitter etc
- Hands-on experience with platform technologies, Analytics, marketing automation, inbound marketing, performance marketing, growth marketing
- Basic knowledge of web design procedures
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
