- As Creative Director you will lead the Creative department; a team of thinkers and doers.
- You will bring a mix of marketing expertise and business understanding to the position, promoting our company and that of our valued clients.
- You need to be an experienced manager of people, someone that can inspire others, taking our creative to a new level as we continue to grow.
- You must have a natural eye for design and a drive to inspire dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences.
- As creative director, you will not only provide creative inputs for projects but will also be involved in the business development tasks with the marketing department and pitch for new clients.
- You will help with market research, insights and choosing the most effective medium for a campaign.

- Direct creative strategy and execution on all accounts.
- Write copy for multiple mediums.
- Partner with the Account and cross-functional team leaders to manage senior level clients.
- Actively lead new business pitches.
- Estimate creative projects that are profitable.
- Develop leadership skills through mentoring and training.
- Participate in manifest leadership initiatives and meetings.
- Qualify, prioritize and delegate workloads for the team.
- Mentor team of copywriters and art directors – manage their performance and career development.
- Own small, medium and large projects.
- Work with the brand team to produce new ideas for company branding, promotional campaigns, and marketing communications.
- Evaluate trends, assess new data and keep up-to-date with the latest marketing techniques.
- Assist clients in resolving issues by responding to questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Create and implement tailored marketing plans based on individual client requirements.
- Direct brainstorming meetings and creative sessions.
- Shape brand standards and create procedures to ensure all products are brand appropriate.
- Supervise the department’s daily workflow, assign project workload, and monitor deadlines and budgets.
- Develop exceptional and well-crafted copy that meet clients’ requirements.
- Supervise a cross-functional team of graphic designers, copywriters, social media experts, photographers/videographers, and project managers in the strategic development of messages and deliverables.
- Prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term needs, establishing production schedules by collaborating with designers, copywriters, and production departments.
- Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative team, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring deliverables that effectively address marketing goals and challenges.
- Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences for visually sophisticated audiences.
- Present, or oversee presentation of final concepts, and obtain approvals for deliverables.

- Revive the craft and rigour of creative thinking in the industry as obtains in every serious market around the world.
- Display unequalled thinking and ensure the Agency appreciates and celebrates brilliant ideas irrespective of disciplines.
- Start and maintain a showcase of works on platforms like Ads of the World, Luerzer’s Archives etc. Sell the brand.
- Help engender a sense of balance between creative magic and commerce among the team to ensure a win-win situation for us and the brands in our care.
- Ensure the Agency starts a good showing on the local, regional and international awards circuit. e.g. Cannes, Clio, LAIF awards.
- Ensure a high percentage of pitch wins. 70% and above.
- Ensure a sense of timeliness and team spirit in the Creative Department to help the Agency keep its promises on deadlines.
- End the year with a cache of work that are good enough for entry into international creative awards.
- Recruit like minds as new businesses come in, spot them before others do.
- Keep existing clients satisfied while growing their minds.
- Ensure better integration between client service, the creative department and the Group.
- Build, lead, and review work of the creative team in the production of all video, web, print, outdoor and digital marketing collateral.
- Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small-scale and large-scale
- projects, harnessing strategy, digital and brand design, compelling content, and technology.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales departments in developing marketing plans, analyzing results, and identifying opportunities.
- Develop internal marketing campaigns that translate marketing objectives across business units into clear and motivating creative strategies.
Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Marketing or Business is an added bonus
- 10 years of related experience with 7+ years of creative direction in agency or corporate setting
- Years of experience creating marketing/advertising campaigns from developing vision and the message platform to overseeing production on time and budget
- Understanding and past experience creating integrated content across all marketing channels from digital, social media, paid media, mobile, but also understand ofine and print
- Proven experience with concept development
- Highly skilled with leading a team of creative talent
- Strong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with copywriting, design and production
- Prior project management experience, with a focus on creative direction
