Responsibilities
- Develop and implement company plans and strategies
- Implement existing work procedures and establish new ones in view of improving overall efficiency and control of the business
- Ensure the integrity of the accounts
- Ensure the company’s financial policies are implemented and be responsible for the financial performance of the company through budgeting and budget controls
- Devise and implement human resource strategies
- Ensure staff are provided with adequate training in various fields of the profession
- Ensure client satisfaction
- Establish service quality standards and instil service quality culture in the organisation
- Ensure various policies are strictly adhered to
- Ensure company’s HSEMS is developed and implemented
- Maintain an efficient and effective control framework for site operations
- Develop appropriate KPIs and perform benchmarking to improve performance
- Ensure company obtains best contract conditions from its clients
- Responsible for growing the business through the acquisition of new clients with policies not conflicting with the company policies
Desired Skills and Experience
- Engineering professional with a broad based experience in the facilities, building and the building services industries.
- Master’s degree in Engineering is preferable.
- Knowledge of, and experience in all fields of the property maintenance business
- Strong leadership and communication skills, and management experience in multi-cultural environments
- Influencing, and communication skills to break internal barriers and support relationships with staff, contractors and clients
- Ability to initiate, implement and follow through on change, and motivate and develop staff
- Ability to negotiate with persistence and patience to achieve results in difficult circumstances
- Previous experience in Africa / Nigeria is a plus
